First visit with the Pediatric Dentist

The most common question we have regarding children is about what age they should start going to the dentist. We follow the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry on when a child should first see a dentist. You should bring your child to see us when the first tooth comes through the gums or no later than their first birthday.

We Strive to Make Each and Every Visit to Our Office Fun!

We also will evaluate the child’s dental health, as well as offer tips in good dental care for your child. Our goal is to have our youngest patients feel comfortable and happy about visiting the dentist!

First visit with the Orthodontist:

At that first visit, we will evaluate your child’s teeth, gums, jaw, and oral hygiene. We will look at your child’s teeth, face, and jaws to determine proper growth and development. X-rays may be given if recent ones aren’t available or don’t provide the correct angels necessary for evaluation. We are explicitly looking at tooth placement, bite and jaw alignment, and the overall development of the mouth and face. We may recommend early treatment If any issues are noticed.
