Dr. Grace Chung
Dr. Chung is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists.
Her focus is on customizing treatment plans that balance precise mechanics with high aesthetic standards—creating confident, healthy smiles for kids, teens, and adults alike. She treats everything from early/interceptive cases to comprehensive and interdisciplinary care. Dr. Chung is also proud to be recognized among the top 1% of Invisalign providers in the country.
Outside the office, Dr. Chung enjoys creating ceramics and paintings inspired by nature. She lives in Brooklyn and often finds artistic inspiration in the beaches and landscapes of Rockaway, where she spends much of her free time. She's also a big fan of baseball and can often be found volunteering at community events.
Dr. Leah Normatova
Dr. Normatova is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics—an achievement earned by fewer than one in three orthodontists. This distinction reflects her commitment to delivering the highest standard of care for patients of all ages.
She earned her DDS with honors from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, after graduating Summa Cum Laude from St. John’s University. Dr. Normatova went on to complete a one-year general dentistry residency at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, where she gained experience in root canal therapy, implants, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. She then completed a three-year residency in Orthodontics at Rutgers, receiving her Certificate of Orthodontics in 2015.
Dr. Normatova is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, and the New York State Dental Association.
Outside the office, Dr. Normatova’s life is full and vibrant with her husband, Mark, and their four children. She enjoys swimming, spending time with family, and expressing her creativity through music—whether at the piano, singing, or dancing.
Rockaway Beach Braces

Rockaway Beach Invisalign
Invisalign is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists in Rockaway Beach
and is the top alternative to traditional braces. Instead of brackets and bands, the Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth.
Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and customized to fit snugly over your teeth. To keep your teeth moving in the direction you want them to, you’ll need to switch your invisible trays out for the next one in the series every one to two weeks as directed by Dr. Chang or Dr. Normatova.
The Invisalign system can only work if the recommended guidelines are followed exactly! Aligners should be worn 20–22 hours per day throughout treatment. If patients neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
Invisalign is at its most efficient when correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, Invisalign may not be a good option.
